“With artworks we can show how meaningful and majestic the world can be".
That’s Kevin Villar Cubinar’s outlook. Born in Malabon, Philippines on October 14, 1994, he was interested in visual arts at an early age and joined art competitions starting in 2007. Although he did not win anything, he did not give up and continued and, later on, received accolades.
A young talented Filipino artist, with a degree in Architecture, his areas of interest are in portraiture, painting and working on murals.
He has participated in Petron Painting Competition, Shell Art Painting Competition, GSIS Painting Competition, Metrobank Art and Design Excellence (MADE), MACC National Painting Competition, Tarlac National Art Competition, and at AAP On The Spot Painting Competition.
Kevin says his art intends to change the narrative of today’s neglect. He believes that by joining different competitions, it will help him to share his views on current issues pertaining to poverty, education, pollution etc. He was also inspired to commit to nation-building for a better world.
Kevin participated in exhibitions at Manila FAME and German Club in the Philippines; in Berlin, Germany in 2017; and in Milan, Italy in 2019.
