His famous father Fernando Amorsolo gave him the first lesson in art, but actually he hated those lessons.
Fernando Amorsolo Jr. wanted to be a prize fighter, but due to his father he later enrolled at the UP School of Fine Arts.
But be shifted to a foreign service course at FEU later, only to abandon this in order to paint again.
