Rizal’s 163rd Anniversary at Rizal Park in the municipality of Wilhelmsfeld

The annual celebration, which is coordinated by the Wilhelmsfeld local government and the Knights of Rizal with assistance from the Ladies for Rizal and various Filipino associations, will take place today on June 23rd, 2024.


Magkaisa Creative Space commemorates the birth anniversary of Dr. Jose Rizal with a special reception at Rizal Park in the municipality of Wilhelmsfeld, Germany. Join us in the morning for the annual celebration of the 163rd birthday of the National Hero of the Philippines.

This significant occasion also commemorates the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Germany and the Philippines, underlining the profound and lasting friendship of our two countries. The memorial hour will also be dedicated to recalling the legacy of Dr. Rizal with heartfelt tributes, reminiscences of his contribution to both countries, and the symbolic bonds uniting them both.


We gather, looking back at the far-reaching influence Dr. Rizal has done for both nations. Let us honor the memory, the tribute, and the symbolic ties that this spirit of unity, resilience, and courage, which Dr. Rizal carries in heartfelt tributes, weaves through.

Magkaisa, headed by its owner Mr. Klaus W. Hartung will be presenting the Rizal Wine Label Exhibition in the townhall of Wilhelmsfeld, while the winning artist John Paul Antido from Antipolo will be receiving the winning prize of the competition amounting to 50.000 PHP through the hand of the Mayor of Wilhelmsfeld, Dr. Tobias Dangel.

The Knights of Rizal, headed by Chapter Commander Helmut Ehses will be welcoming the Philippine Ambassador to Germany from Berlin, H.E. Irene Susan B. Natividad, and the General Consul Mrs. Maria Yvette B. Abalos from Frankfurt for the wreath laying ceremony.
